The penultimate game of the FIFA World Cup 2026 takes place on Saturday (18 July), where France take on England in the third-place play-off.
It will mark the 33rd meeting of these football giants, the fourth of which on this stage. The last time they met came four years ago, also in this tournament, where Les Bleus got the better of The Three Lions in the quarter-final.
While the coveted trophy is out of the question for these sides, there is still plenty to play for by way of individual accolades. Kylian Mbappé is in the running for the Golden Boot, as are Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane. Each of them equally have the potential to win the Golden Ball, too.
There is plenty still at stake at the Miami Stadium – follow all the action live on Olympics.com!
