King Long has revealed its all-new MU12E Electric Citybus during a press conference at Busworld Europe.

Unveiled under the tagline EVolve Unlimited; the low-floor new vehicle comes equipped with a465.99 kWh CATL traction battery, and offers a range of up to 550km.

The vehicle measures in at 12 metres in length, 2.5 metres in width and 3.3 metres in height, with a max speed of up to 90 km/h and a turning radius of just under 9.4 metres.

King Long states that the MU12E Citybus is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C and features IPK6K9K protection for its key components.

The bus comes equipped with a 32-bit dual-core VCU processor, allowing for a number of safety enhancement such as Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication (EAPM), Speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering (EPS), crawl control, electronic fence and zonal speed limiting, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and 360° Real-time Battery Safety Monitoring.

The vehicle also features newly designed split headlights and USB ports at each seat.

King Long also highlighted information regarding three additional vehicles during its press conference at Busworld; the MC13E Coach, A02 Autonomous Bus (which is already in operation at Hong Kong International Airport) and the V8 Smart Van.
