While many reports claim that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s romance started to fizzle in mid-2025, a telling clue suggests that their relationship may have hit major troubles in 2024, allegedly due to one of Kidman’s films.
A Hollywood insider told Page Six that Urban allegedly heavily disliked Kidman’s 2024 film Babygirl, which was a drama about a CEO having an affair with her young intern after being sexually frustrated in her longtime marriage.

They said, “Keith didn’t like the film and he didn’t even like Nicole promoting the movie;” and this totally checks out when you remember something big. While Urban often supported his wife at red carpet premieres, he didn’t go to a single event for Babygirl with her.

For those who don’t know, Kidman and Urban met back in Jan 2005 during the G’Day USA gala. They didn’t date til months later, and then they got engaged one year later. They married a month later in 2006, and welcomed two daughters together named Sunday, born in July 2008, and Faith, born in Dec 2010.
On Sept 29, an inside source told Page Six about the split, saying it was Urban’s decision: “Sometimes relationships just run their course. [Kidman] did not want the separation and was trying to save things.” The Daily Mail also reported about it as well, with a source adding, “The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions [of being married]….. She was blindsided, but we shall see how things go during the holiday season and his upcoming birthday [next month]. They have some work to do.”
Then, Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on Sept 30, 2025.
