Where will stage 18 of the 2026 Tour de France take place? Detailed route
Stage 18 heads from Voiron into the Hautes-Alpes, with the riders facing five categorised climbs over 185.2km.
The climbing begins before the 40km mark with the Côte d’Engins, a category one ascent stretching 11.4km at an average gradient of 5.4 per cent.
Continuing south-east, the peloton will tackle the Côte de Monteynard (Category 2 – 9.7km at 5.0 per cent) before the Côte des Terrasses (Category 3 – 3.4km at 6.6 per cent).
An intermediate sprint awaits in Corps after 129km before the decisive final section of the stage.
Following the Côte de Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes (Category 3 – 2.5km at 6.9 per cent), the riders will begin the final climb to Orcières-Merlette less than 4km later. The category one ascent climbs 7.1km at an average gradient of 6.7 per cent, with ramps of up to 8.2 per cent near the foot of the climb, before finishing at an altitude of 1,825m.
