Think Robert Pattinson ever says, “I’m Daddy Batman?”
It would make sense, because his fiancée Suki Waterhouse explained this week on the And the Writer Is… podcast that their 2-year-old daughter has taken to calling him Daddy Batman, a reference to his superhero role in 2022’s The Batman.
“She calls him Daddy Batman now, because he’s always dressed up like that,” Waterhouse said, “for the next seven months.”

Pattinson is filming The Batman Part 2, in which he leads a cast including Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Charles Dance, and Brian Tyree Henry.
Waterhouse noted in her interview that Pattinson has regularly spoken to his little one in costume. In fact, the baby had even chatted with him on FaceTime that very day — when he was covered in blood.
“She doesn’t actually seem to notice,” said Waterhouse, who got engaged to Pattinson in 2023.
Pattinson, who’s known for being private, has spoken highly of parenthood.
“Ever since [my daughter] was born,” Pattinson told Harper’s Bazaar in May 2025, “it’s reinvigorated the way I approach work, and yeah, you’re a completely different person the next day.”
He’s also said that being a dad has calmed him down.
“I’m a little more relaxed about a lot of different things,” Pattinson told GQ in June. “It gave me tons of energy when she was first born, like five months when I wasn’t doing anything and then just suddenly…. Normally I feel like I barely do any work. I mean, other than Batman, I’d work a few months a year, and then I’d spend the rest of the time figuring out where the party’s at. I think that element of my life…I mean, I’m literally going to bed so early. It’s just ridiculous.”

The highly anticipated sequel to The Batman, which is directed by Matt Reeves, had originally been set to come out on Oct. 3, 2025. It was then delayed until Oct. 1, 2027, following the writers’ and actors’ strikes in 2023, and then moved again, just this month, to Feb. 18, 2028.
In fact, filming kept him away from the star-studded wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on July 3. Waterhouse attended solo.
