National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced that he has approved eligibility for carrying weapons for residents of Be’er Sheva in some of the city’s neighborhoods. According to him, tens of thousands of residents will be able to apply for a personal gun license, residents of a series of streets in the Ramot, Kalaniot, Neve Noy, Neot Lon and Sigaliot neighborhoods. The minister said that “the residents of Be’er Sheva, like all citizens of the State of Israel, have a basic right to protect themselves and their family members. My policy is clear: weapons in the right hands save lives.”
