Pioneering Dublin noise quartet Gilla Band are sharing a new track ‘Alogia’ from their upcoming album Pugnello, out September 25th via Rough Trade Records. ‘Alogia’ follows lead single ‘Placeholder’ and comes with a video directed by Cuan Roche. Gilla Band will embark on a month-long headlining North American tour this fall which sees them circle the continent. They will follow these shows up with UK and European touring throughout early 2027.

“Alogia means poverty of speech linked to mental health conditions,” explains Gilla Band vocalist Dara Kiely. “I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia while writing the lyrics. I thought I could just walk off the old mental illness but alas!”

Gilla Band have also announced an exclusive pre-release listening event at Lanzarote Works in London and Big Romance in Dublin. Fans will have the opportunity to hear the album in full ahead of release on a premium sound system, followed by a Q&A with the band and Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods in London and Ian Lynch (Lankum) in Dublin. The events will also feature exclusive merchandise, giveaways and other collectible products available only to attendees. Dublin tickets here / London tickets here
