They added: “So, we’ll still be there for larger group bookings, but not for regular restaurant dining/take away.”

Owner Daniel Urinov told the JC he was “looking forward to getting started on these events”.

Since opening in Edgware in 1985, Aviv has become one of London’s longest-established kosher restaurants and a familiar part of Jewish life in the area.

Long-time customers Stephen and Frances Grossman said Aviv had “been an integral part of the Jewish scene in north-west London and will be missed by us and amongst our friends as well”.

The couple said they would remember Aviv for how well it supported customers during the Covid pandemic, from its takeaways to its Shabbat food service, and that they “wish them every success in their venture”.
