This week, Charli D’Amelio appeared to escalate hostilities in her family’s alleged cold war. On Quenlin Blackwell’s Feeding Starving Celebrities, the former D’Amelio Show star seemed to take a dig at her family for controlling her finances. When Blackwell held up a pair of Charli-branded PJ bottoms and asked “How much did you make from this?” D’Amelio looked directly to the camera and said “Ain’t that the question! Wouldn’t I like to know?” She grimmaced while Blackwell laughed her head off. It’s the latest tremor in what’s rumored to be a whole family-shaking quake between the D’Amelios.

Charli is but one member of the D’Amelio clan, albeit the most famous. She’s the one who won Dancing With the Stars. She beat her mother, Heidi, for that honor. Her older sister, Dixie, also has a social media presence and modeling career. All the D’Amelios, including patriarch Marc, appeared on Hulu’s The D’Amelio Show for three seasons. In May of this year, Deuxmoi posted a rumor that Charli was estranged from her family after she discovered “millions of dollars had been transferred out of accounts that were established during the years her career was managed by her parents.”

In the comments of that post, Marc D’Amelio disputed the claim. “This is not true. We love Charli, but she is being manipulated, and I have the receipts. Over the last six years, we have remained silent and never addressed gossip, but the time has come to set the record straight,” he wrote. In June, People reported Charli D’Amelio had left her family’s popcorn business, Be Happy Snacks. When reached for comment by the mag, Marc responded “There is nothing to say except the report is 100% not true.”

This is the first apparent comment on the estrangement that Charli D’Amelio has given. She no longer follows her parents on Instagram, and they don’t follow her. They can’t Be Happy about that.
