A new version of author Mick Wall’s 2008 Led Zeppelin biography “When Giants Walked the Earth” will be published later this year.
Music publishing business White Rabbit will publish a new version of the book as part of its Deep Cuts series on December 3.
The new version of the book will include a new foreword by Lenny Kaye. This version is “the fully updated edition of Mick Wall’s definitive biography of Led Zeppelin,” the publisher states on its website.
An expanded and updated version of the book was published in 2018 to coincide with the fiftieth anniversary of Led Zeppelin.
Wall has claimed that Page threatened to sue over the contents of the book.
“Wall’s just writing a book designed to cash in on something he didn’t have anything to do with. He wasn’t a creative force in Led Zep,” Page told The Times in 2010. “I’m at something of a disadvantage because I haven’t chosen to read that book, but I hear it’s totally distorted from people who do know about Led Zeppelin.”
