Schroders Wealth Management has appointed Standard Chartered’s Jyane Quek as its Asia head of marketing and communications.
Quek will lead the marketing and communications agenda for Schroders Wealth Management across Asia, with responsibility spanning brand and proposition, strategic communications, thought leadership, client engagement, partnerships and experiences, digital and demand generation.
In the role, she will work closely with Evonne Tan, Asia CEO of Schroders Wealth Management, and Estelle Bibby, global head of marketing and communications for wealth management.

In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Quek said she is particularly excited by the changing wealth landscape in Asia, pointing to the combination of wealth creation and intergenerational wealth transfer across the region.
“Asia is at a fascinating point in its wealth story. We are seeing extraordinary wealth creation alongside an accelerating intergenerational wealth transition, which is reshaping what HNW and UHNW clients and families expect from their wealth managers,” she said.
She added that the role will give her an opportunity to shape how Schroders Wealth Management presents itself to clients as the wealth management business grows in Asia.
“What particularly excites me is the opportunity to help shape how Schroders Wealth Management shows up in this next chapter — bringing together more than 200 years of stewardship and deep investment expertise with an independent wealth proposition, and translating that into something highly relevant for clients in Asia,” she said.
Quek joins Schroders Wealth Management after more than three years at Standard Chartered, where she held two roles. Her most recent role saw her heading up the bank’s planning and effectiveness for the corporate affairs, brand and marketing function globally.
Reflecting on her move, Quek said one of the key lessons from her previous role was the importance of tying marketing more closely to business outcomes.
“Having worked across global and regional roles, I’ve also learned that the strongest strategies combine the scale and capabilities of a global organisation with a deep understanding of what matters locally,” she explained.
At Schroders Wealth Management, she said she plans to carry that approach forward while maintaining a focus on data, technology and measurement.
“I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to Schroders Wealth Management — alongside a continued focus on data, technology and measurement — as we build the Wealth Management brand and business in Asia,” she said.
Before Standard Chartered, Quek spent more than seven years at Google across commercial and marketing roles. Her most recent position was head of creative engagement APAC at Google’s Global Creative Works, where she developed thought leadership and go-to-market content with product, marketing and sales teams.
She previously served as APAC business lead for Google Large Customer Sales, advising CMOs and marketers across industries on digital business and marketing strategy, including brand building, demand generation, creative strategy, measurement, personalisation and first-party data.
Quek began her career at Mediacorp before moving to Forrester Research, where she focused on business development across Southeast Asia.
Quek’s appointment follows a series of senior hires at Schroders Wealth Management as the firm steps up its ambitions in Asia. In April, the wealth manager appointed Evonne Tan as CEO of its Asia wealth management business, succeeding Jason Lai. Tan joined from Barclays, where she was managing director and head of private banking in Singapore.
Schroders Wealth Management subsequently appointed Sharon Sim as head of business development, Singapore.
