As we approach the predicted launch timeline of the Huawei Mate 90 series, more interesting leaks are surfacing online, and the latest one shows the lens arrangement of the new flagship in an image, revealing what’s different in the camera design this time.
A new image is circulating online, showing the Huawei Mate 90 series lens arrangement. The image showcases five camera plates with lens openings for every Mate 90 model and also the “already launched” Mate XT 2 tri-fold.
Starting with the Mate 90 and Mate 90 Pro smartphones, both may follow a dual star-ring design featuring an empty inner circle and lenses housed in the outer ring.
It shows three imaging sensors – two on the sides and one at the bottom. The upper part of the outer ring also has an LED flash and two sensors, probably the color one.
Mate 90 Pro Max is slightly different from the standard and Pro models’ lens arrangement. The circular design remains the same. But the periscope lens appears on the right side, while another sensor is on the right. An additional lens is at the top with two complementary sensors, while the LED flash is at the bottom.
Huawei Mate 90 RS lens arrangement is quite similar to the Pro Max model. The only difference is the camera plate layout, which is the signature octagonal shape. Instead of a void space at the center, there is a vertical line.
Apart from these phones, the Mate X8 is also part of this lens plate leak. Many rumors claimed that the upcoming dual-fold will adopt a new camera layout. But it seems the company won’t change last year’s look this early and may keep it the same.
Whether the new lens arrangement leak turns out to be true or Huawei makes any last-minute changes to its flagship will become clear in the coming days.
