Jimmy Fallon began his shtick on the proposed Donald Trump $1 coin on Tuesday with a few light zingers. Then he ventured into a darker take. (Watch the video below.)

“It’s expected to be the first coin made out of silver and bronzer,” Fallon cracked.

“Trump can finally live out his dream of putting himself in a vending machine,” the host continued.

But when the comedian showed the Treasury’s spec design, which features “1776-2026” at the bottom of one side, he veered into ominous territory.

“America 1776 to 2026 pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it?” he asked.
