Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk won’t appear in a forthcoming MCU show despite previous rumors.

Ruffalo has played Bruce Banner/Hulk ever since 2012’s The Avengers. Following that movie, he went on to appear in other MCU projects such as 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and more.

What MCU project won’t Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk appear in?

As shared by @majestic_ucm, there have been rumors circulating online that Ruffalo’s Hulk could appear in the forthcoming Marvel Television Wonder Man show that is set to premiere on Disney+ this coming December.

According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, these rumors are incorrect as Hulk is not a part of Wonder Man.

Hulk is, however, set to appear in Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is currently in production. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, that movie will once again see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher will also return. Spider-Man 4 arrives in United States theaters on July 31, 2026.

As for Wonder Man, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will be playing the titular character in that show, which is co-created by Cretton. Co-starring in that show is Ben Kingsley, who has played Trevor Slattery in the MCU since 2013’s Iron Man 3.

Brad Winderbaum told Collider in February that Wonder Man will be “a very new flavor for Marvel” and is one of his “favorite things ever.” He continued, “I think it’s the best show no one’s ever seen, and I’m very excited to see the audience reaction to it. I think it’s a love letter to what we do as filmmakers. It’s a love letter to acting as a profession, and it’s a very sincere, beautiful show.”
