A man has been fined for dumping a large pile of construction waste behind a store in Hull.
Rafal Lukasczyk, of Leonard Street, Hull, was prosecuted at Hull Magistrates’ Court on 1 August after he left waste behind D & S Specks on Wold Road in January.
The 47-year-old received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £690 to Hull City Council.
Councillor Charles Quinn, portfolio holder for environment, said: “There is absolutely no excuse for fly-tipping. It’s illegal, unsightly and costs the taxpayer money that could be better spent on essential services.”
