Aston Martin’s DBX is already a refined and powerful crossover. In 2025, we declared that the DBX707 version removes any doubt about its luxury credentials and is as close to flawless as we can expect. Then came the 2026 DBX S, lightening the SUV and taking the power level to 717 horsepower (up from the DBX 707’s 696 horses). The only fault we could pick out is that the tailgate lifts a bit too slowly.
Now, Aston Martin has announced the DBX GT, claiming it delivers the ultimate in luxury and refinement.
The Focus Here Is Effortless, Refined Performance

The DBX GT sits within the range of DBX options, as the GT moniker suggests, to deliver elegance, comfort, and plentiful power over aggressive performance. The words detail and craftsmanship are mentioned a lot throughout the press release, from its new double-vane grille available in a bright or dark finish to bespoke embroidery on new seats, redesigned with enhanced cushioning, redefined bolstering, and carefully engineered comfort curves. There’s even a new individual rear seat layout, with the outer seats designed with extended headrests and bolsters.
We’ve discussed before how detail is the key to luxury, and we’re taking note here of the anodized metal drive mode rotary controller and secondary switchgear, which provide a jeweler’s-quality finish, as well as the GT-specific monotone, duotone, and tritone upholstery color combinations embellished by intricate panels of quilting and perforation. Throw in the standard panoramic glass roof, deep-pile floor mats, and extra attention paid to noise control and sound deadening, and we’re already sold.
What About The Exterior?

Each flavor of Aston’s DBX has its own take on styling. In this case, along with the new double-vane grille, there are contrasting polished and satin dual finish side strakes, inspired by watchmaking, and a new 22-inch forged wheel with a Satin Titanium diamond-turned finish. Along with an all-season tire as standard, the package is designed to improve ride compliance and minimize road noise.
For customers that want to trade ride quality and tire noise for larger wheels and better grip, there’s also a 23-inch wheel and tire option. Then there are new sculpted quad exhaust finishers, with bright polished outers and satin anodized inners, framed by the lower body and diffuser.
Under the hood is the same Mercedes-supplied 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which Aston Martin rebuilds and retunes for duty in the aforementioned DBX S. That means the DBX GT shares the same 717 hp and performance metrics: zero to 60 mph takes 3.1 seconds, and its top speed of 193 mph makes it one of the fastest SUVs in the world.

The GT model also shares the ceramic brake system and faster steering ratio from the S, but has a “unique suite of suspension enhancements with a revised calibration of damper settings including a unique damper valve system which enhances ride compliance.” In short, it’s the cherry on top of Aston Martin’s enduring performance SUV.
CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters

We have heaped praise and awards upon the DBX, but it looks like the GT will round out the range of trims, taking the extreme edge off the DBX S and refining it for those who want to cover distances with speed, confidence, and comfort, as well as enjoy the tactile and detail-rich interior space.
The DBX is an aggressively fast SUV, and Aston Martin has been heading toward the ultra-luxury market. The DBX GT could be the vehicle that cements its place there. Assuming, of course, that the tailgate lifts a little faster than the DBX S.
“The challenge with DBX GT was achieving meaningful improvements in comfort and refinement in everyday use cases, but keeping the same class-leading reserves of performance and handling we have achieved with the DBX S,” said Aston Martin Chief Technology Officer Ian Hoban. “This was delivered via a combination of small but significant hardware upgrades together with a targeted suite of calibration changes to the chassis and powertrain.”
The new DBX GT will reach customers in late 2026.
