Nicole Kidman has reflected on what she’s “most proud of” in a candid new interview and cover story for Vogue Australia.

The Australian actress and Hollywood icon, 59, stuns on the cover of the publication and was asked what she was “most proud of,” apart from motherhood and being an actress.

Kidman said she’s proud of “surviving” in the industry and also touched on losing her beloved parents and just how close she is to her sister Antonia Kidman and their extended family.

“Surviving. Literally starting out in this industry at 14 and still being here,” she said, after decades in the limelight.

Nicole lost her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, in 2024 and her father, Dr. Antony Kidman, in 2014.

“Now we don’t have our parents, but the most important thing to my mum and dad is that we keep the family close and we are managing to do that,” she explained.

“As cousins, my daughters and my sister’s kids are like siblings, and I’m really proud we’ve been able to create that for them.”

In March, Nicole shared a sweet tribute to her late mother on what would have been her birthday.

Underneath a throwback image of the pair together, the Moulin Rouge star wrote to her millions of followers on Instagram: “Remembering my Mumma on her birthday. Always in my heart Mumma [love heart emoji].”

Nicole has had some trying times of her own more recently, shocking the world with her split from Kiwi rocker Keith Urban last year, after 19 years of marriage.

The pair, who were based in Nashville Tennessee together, reportedly finalised their divorce earlier this year.

They married in June 2006 in a church ceremony in Sydney’s Manly.
