Doravirine/islatravir (DOR/ISL) and bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (BIC/FTC/TAF) are associated with similar improvements in self-reported health status and reductions in bothersome symptoms among previously untreated adults with HIV-1, according to study results presented at IDWeek 2026, held from October 21 to 24, in Washington, DC.

The trial previously demonstrated noninferior virologic efficacy and comparable safety between ART regimens at week 48.
