Australian Retirement Trust CIO Ian Patrick backs private credit, even though the super giant had Bathla loans

Ian Patrick, chief investment officer of the $370 billion superannuation giant Australian Retirement Trust, never expected he would need to become a pest inspector. But private credit changed that.

ART has a $10 billion exposure to private credit, and as scrutiny on the sector has grown over the past 12 months ART’s investment committee has asked Patrick and his team to look closely at the health of those investments in both Australia and the United States.
