Real Chemistry
Real Chemistry’s ethos is clear: Don’t settle for what is — create the healthcare experience that should be, powered by AI and ideas. Its work begins with one question: “If we were the patient, how would we want to be treated?”
As an independent, healthcare-only network, Real Chemistry offers fully integrated communications, advertising, medical communications, activation and analytics services. Teams are built overnight, tailored to each client’s challenge.
In 2024, the agency made AI tangible, embedding it into workflows, launching proprietary tools and hosting its first “AI Palooza” so 2,000 employees could use AI assistants in real time. At the same time, it invested in chemistry — adding senior talent, fostering in-person collaboration and running inclusive leadership workshops to deepen managers’ understanding of diverse employee experiences.
Results followed. Global revenue climbed 12% to $665 million, with 85% of growth from existing clients. Expansion included new offices in Edinburgh and Manchester, plus partnerships across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
Creative highlights included a darkly hilarious video series for Biogen’s Skyclarys, the first treatment for Friedreich’s ataxia. Leaning into the FA community’s gallows humor, the campaign generated over 5,000 website conversions — surpassing the number of Americans living with the disease. For Alexion’s Ionis, Real Chemistry cast HCPs as both heroes and detectives in treating hypophosphatasia.
Clients such as Astellas, Bayer and GSK praise Real Chemistry’s boundary-pushing ideas. Noted client Michelle Shah, marketing director at Genentech: “The agency consistently brings fresh, innovative solutions … while fostering strong, trusting partnerships.”
