EL CENTRO — Imperial Valley Advanced Imaging (IVAI) has opened a new outpatient diagnostic imaging center located at 1500 S. Imperial Avenue. The center provides X-ray, ultrasound, and DEXA imaging services to patients and referring providers across the Imperial Valley.

Known for its cutting-edge technology, compassionate care, and fast answers for physicians and patients, IVAI is a welcome, centrally located addition to the local healthcare industry.

According to a recent press release, “IVAI brings together cutting-edge technology and compassionate care — so physicians and patients receive accurate answers quickly, without the delays of hospital-based imaging, and without ever feeling like a number in a line.”

Patients also receive AI-assisted explanations of their reports in plain language through the secure patient portal, helping them understand their results without medical jargon.

“We are building a facility where speed and humanity work together,” said Rojian Lira, Chief of Operations. “Our technology is advanced. Our care is personal. Patients will not be rushed through — they will be seen, heard, and treated with the attention they deserve.”

The center offers X-ray, ultrasound, and DEXA (bone density) imaging, with additional modalities planned as the facility grows. IVAI welcomes self-pay patients and accepts most major insurance plans.

Lira explained that the office has been open for about two weeks now, and they are actively enrolling new clients. He has been doing radiology for close to 30 years now and said, “I’m currently the Chief of Operations here, and radiology is my specialty.”

“Dr. Sohaib Tariq, our Medical Director and CEO, saw a need in the Imperial Valley for this type of service,” said Lira. “He wanted faster turnaround times, and so he conceptualized this service out of necessity. He is a cardiologist and the main driving force behind IVAI.”

Lira explained that he envisioned an accessible imaging service offering precise, high-quality reports alongside state-of-the-art technology. She added that they are proud to introduce this service to the Imperial Valley community by using their advanced mega AI technology platform, which stands as the most powerful platform available in outpatient services.

“A patient can be seen the same day and get their results the same day,” he added. “Results are distributed, not only to providers, but also to the patients. They will have their own apps, and family members can view those images as well.”

Some of their advanced technology helps to screen potential illnesses in clients of all ages. They screen for osteoporosis, do ultrasounds, screen for pregnancy, and serve both children and adults.

“It’s the need that we have here in the Valley that started all of this. We’re very excited to bring this forward. Right now is the time to embrace our technology. We hope we can serve as an example that we don’t have to resist this,” Lira said. “It’s something that is upcoming, and the combination of rapid technology, good patient care, and the human touch. At the end of the day, Imperial Valley patients will benefit from it.”
