My first smart telescope was the Unistellar Odyssey Pro and I absolutely loved it. It rekindled my interest in the night sky and really got me excited to capture images of many different galaxies and nebulas because it was so easy to set up and operate.
I was able to get expert-level astrophotography from my backyard, with light pollution being little to no issue, thanks to the Odyssey’s automatic image stacking and processing. The Odyssey range is fully automatic, with exposure settings, focus and target location done for you.

The eVscope 2 and eQuinox 2 make up the Unistellar expert range and offer more manual control of the telescope. They have larger apertures, which allow for quicker image capture, and higher-resolution image sensors. To get the most out of the expert models, you should collimate your telescope before every use and use the built-in Bahtinov mask to get a sharp focus on stars.

If you want to start observing the sun, buying a solar filter allows your Unistellar model to automatically find and image the surface of the sun. This is great for getting pictures of sunspots and safely watching a solar eclipse.
