More Kosher Options on the Island
The dairy restaurant joins the Chabad House’s existing meat restaurant and kosher market, which stocks Israeli products for travelers. Chabad of Koh Phangan, directed by Rabbi Dovi and Miri Deutsch, also runs a synagogue with daily services, hosts Shabbat meals and operates a kindergarten for families on the island.
Both the meat and dairy Chabad House restaurants in Koh Phangan appear on the official restaurant list of Thai Kashrut Services, under the kosher certification of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, the Chief Rabbi of Thailand.
