A cross-party working group will meet today for the first time to discuss how to tackle the exponential growth in mental health issues among school children.
Speaking on last night’s Viewpoint programme, the Minister for Health, Gemma Arias-Vasquez, said the results of a survey on screeen usage has highlighted how concerning the problem is.
Ms Arias-Vasquez said the group, which would also include the GSD’s Joelle Ladislaus, will set out a strategy as the GHA looks towards a developmental pathway to help young people.
