Anytime I need a pick-me-up, I know exactly which web-famous cuties can give it. Of the many funny, adorable, silly birds online, there’s one Cockatoo, who, in my opinion, rules them all.

With his sweet nature and heartwarming daily songs, this is one happy bird who brings the sunshine wherever he goes—even when he decides to ignore Mom and get into a little innocent trouble.

If you’ve never heard of Cumulus, let me introduce you. This funny, unapologetic Cockatoo gives main character energy 24/7/365, and his mom, Julie (via @fixchix), is an angel for sharing him with the world.

Cumulus’ typical day consists of joining Mom at work (a bird clinic), where he entertains everyone around him. Sometimes he organizes/destroys the drawers, sings a new song, or, as in this October 6 clip, chooses to find trouble despite Mom telling him no.

This silly bird has a lot of other talents, too. He can copy Mom’s laugh like a professional imitator, start a silent rave like it’s 10 p.m. on a Saturday night, and even sing for his Parrot friend if it makes him feel a little more welcome. There’s nothing he can’t do!

“I love the innocent look that said, ‘I’m not looking and I don’t know how my foot got on the thing that wasn’t,'” one person commented. “I could watch that little waddle all day,” another wrote. “He’s checking meds! He has to keep track of patients,” another defended.

Plenty of others declared this “Energizer Bunny” bird, with seemingly endless fuel to burn, is completely innocent and did nothing wrong (as long as Mom isn’t looking)!

This little guy can have fun doing literally anything. Dancing is one of his hobbies, and it doesn’t matter what kind of beat it is; he’s always down for a dance. Like I said, he’s pure sunshine on any cloudy day!

The bird clinic would be so much quieter (and probably boring) without Cumulus there to keep everyone on their toes. He’s pretty good at making patients feel less anxious, too, because one look at him singing Elmo, and there’s no way they would still feel scared to be there. He deserves a promotion, a raise, and definitely all the “good boy” praise!

Cockatoos Love Attention

Described as “Velcro birds,” Cockatoos like Cumulus are always a good time, but not for the casual bird lover. They need a lot of attention, physical and mental stimulation, and patience, as you can see with Cumulus!

These social sweeties love to be the life of the party, giving their heart and soul in every performance. They thrive when they’re surrounded by those they love. However, they can be demanding with those needs! Intelligent, loving, and entertaining as all get out, Cockatoos make the perfect companion for anyone willing to put in the time and effort—they live upwards of 60 to 70 years.

Either way, if you’re ever in need of a boost, Cumulus always comes through!
