SINGAPORE, Oct 12 — The yellow, brick road leads to Singapore this November as the Lion City is the only Asian stop for Wicked: For Good’s glittering global tour.
The Asia-Pacific premiere of the musical blockbuster starring Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh will take place at Universal Studios Singapore on November 13, making it the fourth stop after London, New York, São Paulo and ahead of Paris.
Expect a full dose of Hollywood glamour as Grande, Erivo, Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and director Jon M. Chu light up the red carpet at Resorts World Sentosa.
Fans can look forward to a night of movie magic with handprint ceremonies, exclusive fan events and a special screening at the Pantages Hollywood Theatre.
Tickets for the one-night-only event are priced at S$93 (about RM325) for adults and S$72 (about RM252) for children, available through Universal Studios Singapore.
The film continues the untold story of Elphaba and Glinda — played by Erivo and Grande — whose complicated friendship unfolds in the enchanted land of Oz.
Wicked: For Good is the sequel to the 2024 hit that grossed over US$750 million worldwide and earned 10 Oscar nominations.
It opens in Singapore cinemas on November 20, just a week after the exclusive Sentosa premiere.
