Are you ready to join us for a new exciting day at the discovery of the secrets of the Universe? ESRIN’s Open Day is back — and this year it will be more exciting than ever! Registration will open on 15 September. Find out below how to register!

On 26 September, ESRIN – ESA’s centre for Earth Observation programmes – will host its annual Open Day. As every year, the event coincides with the European Researchers’ Night promoted by the European Commission, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of scientific research and space missions.

Programme of activities and registration

Throughout the event, communicators, scientists, and experts will guide the public through the world of the European Space Agency, with educational workshops for children, guided tours, astronomical observations, and interactive quizzes. From protecting our planet to unlocking the secrets of the Universe, ESA invites you to experience an immersive journey into science, technology, and the future.

ESA ESRIN Open Day is free of charge, but registration is required for all participants (adults and children). Visitors can book one of two available time slots: 16:30–19:30 or 20:15–23:15. Registrations open on 15 September via the dedicated form below.

The detailed programme of activities, the link to register and lots more information about the event are available on the web page dedicated to ESRIN’s Open Day 2025 (page available in Italian only).

In 2025, the European Space Agency will host a series of Open Days across its major establishments in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.

Under the theme “Elevating the Future of Europe” and marking ESA’s 50th anniversary, this year’s Open Days go beyond showcasing cutting-edge technology and space science. They will highlight ESA’s impact on Europe’s prosperity, our technological leadership and our mission to inspire the next generation, with one clear goal: to elevate the future of Europe through the power of space.
