{"id":102357,"date":"2025-10-28T13:25:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T13:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/102357\/"},"modified":"2025-10-28T13:25:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T13:25:07","slug":"thailand-issues-health-warning-on-batch-of-popular-hong-thai-herbal-inhalers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/102357\/","title":{"rendered":"Thailand issues health warning on batch of popular Hong Thai herbal inhalers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">BANGKOK &#8211; The Thai\u00a0Food and Drug Administration (FDA)\u00a0has issued an official announcement regarding the results of laboratory testing on herbal medicinal products. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Samples of the Hong Thai Herbal Inhaler, Formula 2, registration number G 309\/62, produced by\u00a0Hong Thai Panich, were collected for laboratory analysis by the Department of Medical Sciences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The analytical results revealed that the product failed to meet quality standards under the test for microbial contamination, specifically exceeding limits in\u00a0Total Aerobic Microbial Count, Total Combined Yeasts and Mould Count,\u00a0and the detection of\u00a0Clostridium spp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">This constitutes a violation under the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health on Standards, Purity, and Other Critical Characteristics Affecting Product Quality.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The herbal product had been registered or notified in 2021, and in order to protect consumers, the FDA has deemed it necessary to make the inspection results public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The FDA therefore advises the public to exercise caution when purchasing or using this herbal product. The agency is currently considering legal action against the responsible parties in accordance with the law.
