Absolute Batman<\/a> artist Nick Dragotta<\/a> wouldn\u2019t mind seeing the DC Comics<\/a> series he works on adapted into a certain medium.<\/p>\n

Absolute Batman is the DC Comics series written by Scott Snyder<\/a> and illustrated by Dragotta. Having launched in October 2024, there have so far been 13 issues of the popular series, while Absolute Batman #14 arrives next month. Taking place in a different universe than the main DC<\/a> continuity, it reimagines Batman<\/a> as a 24-year-old blue-collar civil engineer.<\/p>\n

What did Nick Dragotta say about an Absolute Batman adaptation?<\/p>\n

In a League of Comic Geeks AMA thread<\/a>, Dragotta and Snyder were asked if there had been any conversations between them and James Gunn<\/a> about adapting Absolute Batman into other mediums, such as movies, toys, animation, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While Dragotta said he wasn\u2019t aware of any plans to turn the series into a potential show or movie, he did reveal that he\u2019d personally love to see it adapted into an anime.<\/p>\n

\u201cCheck out the Inart and LPZZ toys debut at Wonderfest in Shanghai for a taste of things to come,\u201d Dragotta commented. I\u2019m not in the know, but I know DC makes and licenses quality stuff, so I\u2019m excited to see what comes. Personally, I\u2019d love to see a Studio Trigger anime of Ab Bat.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far in Absolute Batman, this version of the Dark Knight has had to face horrifying villains such as Bane and Killer Croc. In the Absolute Universe, however, these versions of the characters are even bigger and more menacing compared to their counterparts. Bruce will soon have to go toe-to-toe with an enormous, Kaiju-like version of Joker in Absolute Batman #15.<\/p>\n
