Not just text, but AI-generated videos, dubbed \u2018AI slop\u2019, are flooding the internet, particularly on social media. Some gaming companies are taking things a step further with AI. Sony\u2019s new AI-powered character prototype was recently leaked. However, it seems that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/technology\/news\/story\/gta-6-gameplay-videos-leak-vice-city-locations-protagonists-and-more-new-details-revealed-2002045-2022-09-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">world of Grand Theft Auto<\/a> will remain untouched, as far as Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Take-Two owns Rockstar Games, the company behind the GTA franchise. In a conversation with Carolyn Dailey, Zelnick detailed the creative process that goes behind making a new video game, something that is focused on staying away from derivative and copycat works.<\/p>\n<p>He said, as quoted by Gamesradar, \u201cIn Hollywood it\u2019s common to pitch your product as &#8216;it\u2019s a combination of Spiderman meets Batman meets Back to the Future&#8217; We don\u2019t do that here; we want something that you\u2019ve never seen before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  Why AI cannot make a GTA game?<\/p>\n<p>Originality plays a big role in making a game a success, according to Strauss Zelnick. This is not exactly possible with AI in its current form as it relies on preexisting data. <\/p>\n<p>He explained, \u201cThis is why I\u2019m not worried about AI creating hits, because it\u2019s built on data that already exists. It\u2019s backwards-looking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Zelnick\u2019s team includes the \u201cbest creators\u201d who are urged to \u201cpursue their passions.\u201d This, in turn, can allow the team to build something new and exciting for gamers, something that AI may not be able to do.<\/p>\n<p>The Take-Two CEO concluded, \u201cBig hits are forward-looking and therefore need to be created out of thin air. Being the most creative means not just thinking outside the box; it means there is no box.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps, AI may be able to remake a GTA game, but going by Zelnick\u2019s comments, it would not create something new and exciting in the world of Grand Theft Auto for fans.<\/p>\n<p>GTA 6 launch date<\/p>\n<p>GTA 6 is set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/technology\/news\/story\/gta-6-delayed-again-new-release-date-rockstar-statement-story-in-5-points-2718974-2025-05-03\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">release on May 26, 2026<\/a>, almost 13 years after GTA 5, which was launched in September 2013. However, this release will be limited to PS5 and Xbox Series X\/S.
