{"id":103735,"date":"2025-10-29T07:11:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/103735\/"},"modified":"2025-10-29T07:11:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:11:09","slug":"booking-holdings-says-gen-ai-tools-increase-conversions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/103735\/","title":{"rendered":"Booking Holdings Says Gen AI Tools Increase Conversions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/ir.bookingholdings.com\/overview\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Booking Holdings<\/a> is seeing early results from the generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) solutions it offers across its travel and related platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The company, which owns the <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Booking.com<\/a>, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.priceline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Priceline<\/a>, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/?ds=cvSoA9HT8j9UOjqt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Agoda<\/a>, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kayak.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kayak<\/a> and <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opentable.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">OpenTable<\/a> brands, offers several gen AI tools and added more during the third quarter, executives said Tuesday (Oct. 28) during an earnings call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat are we measuring in terms of impact? Ultimately, faster search, better conversion, lower cancellation rates, and higher customer satisfaction,\u201d Booking Holdings Chief Financial Officer <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ewoutsteenbergen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ewout Steenbergen<\/a> said during the call. \u201cVery early signals we\u2019re having around it, but overall very encouraged we are with what we are seeing at this moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later during the call, Steenbergen said the new gen AI tools boost conversion levels by helping people find what they are looking for and complete the booking more quickly; lower cancellation rates by helping people get exactly what they want so that they don\u2019t cancel one booking and start another later; and improve customer satisfaction by enabling faster handling of any problems that arise.<\/p>\n<p>Steenbergen also said that while the number of leads coming to the company from large language models is increasing, the number coming through traditional search also continues to grow.<\/p>\n<p>Booking Holdings continued to roll out new gen AI solutions during the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Advertisement: Scroll to Continue<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are at a moment where advances in AI are just beginning to create new ways that people plan and experience travel,\u201d Bookings Holdings CEO <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/glennfogel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Glenn Fogel<\/a> said during the earnings call.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s latest gen AI-powered offerings for customers include Agoda\u2019s chatbot that provides travelers with hotel-specific answers to help them make booking decisions; Kayak\u2019s AI mode natural-language search experience that delivers better results from the home page; and Booking.com\u2019s new features in its app that include natural-language search capabilities that provide destination highlights, Fogel said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we further develop our agentic capabilities, combine them with our data-driven insights on when to offer relevant suggestions, and advance our Connected Trip vision, we believe travelers will increasingly recognize the value proposition of our platform,\u201d Fogel said.<\/p>\n<p>Booking Holdings also added more gen AI-powered tools for its partners during the third quarter.
