There is nothing like seeing the work in person. The texture, the volume, the lusciousness cannot be seen in photos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"www.thecut.com\/_components\/clay-paragraph\/instances\/cmfea2o5100273b78rxfp1xhx@published\" data-word-count=\"37\">\u201cIt\u2019s so important because their voices have not been curated and archived historically,\u201d said Yanko. \u201cIt\u2019s a really exciting time where we can shine and we can sing in the capacity that is true to our lens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"www.thecut.com\/_components\/clay-paragraph\/instances\/cmfea2o6p00283b787nszogfw@published\" data-word-count=\"29\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Malle sponsored the event (throughout the evening, the brand\u2019s Portrait of a Lady fragrance was placed around the event, and samples were free for all guests to take).<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\"
