The renewal comes five months after the show\u2019s first season released all at once on Hulu. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAdults stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele as five twentysomethings who share a house in Queens and few boundaries. As FX describes it, the show \u201cputs a slightly heightened twist on the wins, losses and humiliations of starting out in the adult world. Whether they\u2019re trying to get ahead at work, navigating the healthcare system, hosting a dinner party or dating in the age of Find My Friends, the group is finding that nothing about the real world is simple, and all their best intentions tend to make things worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cBen and Rebecca are incredibly talented writers, and they have expertly and hilariously captured the experience of being a young adult in today\u2019s world,\u201d said Kate Lambert, executive vp development for FX Entertainment. \u201cThe entire cast \u2014 Malik, Lucy, Jack, Amita and Owen \u2014 is exceptional in bringing it to life in a way that has truly connected with its audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAdults earned mostly positive reviews from critics. The Hollywood Reporter\u2019s Angie Han praised the show\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-reviews\/adults-review-fx-1236224173\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cappealingly grungy, lived-in vibe\u201d<\/a> (while also noting that, like the characters, the series needed some time to figure out what it wants to be). <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAdults comes from FX Productions.
