{"id":106823,"date":"2025-10-30T22:44:36","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T22:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/106823\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T22:44:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T22:44:36","slug":"singing-lions-posing-monkeys-and-a-smoking-duck-finalists-of-comedy-wildlife-awards-2025-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/106823\/","title":{"rendered":"Singing lions, posing monkeys and a \u2018smoking\u2019 duck: finalists of Comedy Wildlife Awards 2025 revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards 2025 received nearly 10,000 entries from 108 countries, featuring everything from dancing gorillas to frog teamwork and even a \u201csmoking\u201d duck!<\/p>\n<p>Each year, the competition supports sustainable conservation and works with Whitley Fund for Nature \u2013 a UK charity that offers long term support to changemakers leading local solutions to the global biodiversity and climate crises.<\/p>\n<p>The category, highly commended and overall winners will be announced on Tuesday 9 December, followed by an free exhibition at the Oxo Gallery in central London featuring all the 2025 finalist entries, from the 10-14 December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comedywildlifephoto.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">People\u2019s Choice Award<\/a> will be open from 10th December until March 1 2026 for the public to vote on their favourite, with the winner of this category being announced on 12 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Comedy Wildlife Awards 2025 \u2013 gallery of finalists<br \/>\nGrayson Bell &#8211; Baptism of the Unwilling Convert<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Grayson-Bell_Baptism-Of-The-Unwilling-Convert.jpg\" alt=\"half submerged in water, one frog appears to be baptising the other frog in the water. \" class=\"wp-image-143468\"\/>&#8216;These two frogs were photographed fighting over their territory in our pond in Maine, USA.&#8217; &#8211; Photo Credit: Grayson Bell \/ The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2025<br \/>\nKalin Botev &#8211; Monkey Circus<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Kalin-Botev_Monkey-Circus.jpg\" alt=\"A trio of expressive baboons play in on a tree at dusk, with one leaping ober another. \" class=\"wp-image-143469\"\/>A troop of baboons was playing in a tree in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.
