KNOXVILLE, Tenn. \u00a0\u2014 Both Daniel Krichevsky<\/a> (200 free) and Elizaveta Klevanovich<\/a> (50 free) made jumps in Auburn\u2019s top 10 performer list on Thursday, but the Tigers ultimately fell to both Tennessee and Louisville inside the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Auburn men dropped their bouts with Tennessee, 165-132, and with Louisville, 184-99. Meanwhile, the women fell to the Lady Vols, 176-121, and the Cardinals, 180.5-119.5.<\/p>\n

Before swimming even hit the blocks, it was Emily Hallifax<\/a> who put the first points on the board for the Orange and Blue. The Olympian from France dialed up a 295.60 in the 1-meter to take the first victory of the afternoon for the Tigers. Teammate Maria Faora took third at 285.55.<\/p>\n

Ethan Swart<\/a> solidified third in the men\u2019s 3-meter competition at a stout 371.05.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kicking off the relays, Lora Komoroczy<\/a>, Kiia Metsakonkola<\/a>, Morgan Carteaux<\/a> and Elizaveta Klevanovich<\/a> combined for a 1:36.35 to take third overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the men\u2019s side, it was Ivan Tarasov<\/a>, Uros Zivanovic<\/a>, Sohib Khaled<\/a> and Kalle Makinen<\/a> hitting the wall at 1:24.10 for second overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Straight into the distance events, Kentucky transfer Sammie Hamilton<\/a> delivered a season-best 9:49.96 to take second in the 1,000 free with Julia Strojnowska<\/a> right on her heels in third.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Freshman Daniel Krichevsky<\/a> made waves in the men\u2019s 200 free. His 1:32.72 was good enough for the victory and moved the Israel native to the No. 3 performer in school history.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Riding the momentum from Krichevsky\u2019s effort, Komoroczy produced a solid 51.99 to win the women\u2019s 100 back. Komoroczy was back in action in the 100 fly, earning a second-place finish with a 53.05.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two events later, it was Georgia Tech Uros Zivanovic<\/a> who celebrated a win with a 53.01 in the 100 breast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both Taylor Bacher<\/a> and Carissa Rinard<\/a> enjoyed solid swims in the 200 fly. Bacher placed second with a 1:57.91. Rinard wasn\u2019t too far behind in third at 1:58.49.<\/p>\n

Sprint queen Elizaveta Klevanovich<\/a> didn\u2019t win the 50 free, but her 21.80 was a lifetime best and moved the senior to No. 5 on the program\u2019s all-time performer list.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kalle Makinen<\/a> finished with a solid 19.44 to take third on the men\u2019s side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After the break, Maggie McGuire<\/a> went to work in the 200 back. Her 1:56.00 was good enough for third overall. Tarasov captured fourth on the men\u2019s side with a 1:44.20.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sophomore Zoey Zeller<\/a> delivered a solid swim in the 200 breast. At 2:10.86, Zeller secured third place. Freshman Maston Ballew<\/a> equaled the effort in the men\u2019s race, coming home in third at 1:55.06.<\/p>\n

Back in the diving well, Talan Blackmon<\/a> capped off a solid day on the 1-meter with a 336.90 and second-place overall. Meanwhile, Hallifax followed up her win on the 1-meter with a second-place effort on the 3-meter at 311.65.<\/p>\n

Danny Schmidt<\/a> found a bit of rhythm in the 200 IM. His 1:46.16 earned the senior captain third place.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rounding out the afternoon in the 400 free relay, Klevanovich, Izzy Iwasyk<\/a>, Komoroczy and Wyllo Hanson<\/a> went 3:17.29 to finish third overall.
