(Image source: Lenovo)<\/p>\n<p>The Lenovo AI Glasses V1 are lightweight, AI-powered AR glasses that have arrived as a rival to the Rokid Glasses. While they are lighter than Rokid&#8217;s wearable, there are tradeoffs, such as a smaller battery and the lack of a camera.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/Rokid-Glasses-are-lightweight-AR-smart-glasses-with-Micro-LED-displays-and-a-499-price-tag.1098756.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rokid Glasses<\/a> are touted as the world&#8217;s lightest full-function AI &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/Magic-Leap-showcases-Google-AR-glasses-with-Raxium-microLED-and-Gemini-support.1151063.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">AR glasses<\/a> thanks to their impressive 48-gram weight. However, while Lenovo isn&#8217;t making any claims to having the lightest smart glasses, its\u00a0Visual AI Glasses V1 are lighter than Rokid&#8217;s.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Weighing 38 grams and sporting lenses that are 1.8mm thick, the Lenovo\u00a0Visual AI Glasses V1 are AI &amp; AR glasses like the Rokid Glasses. Lenovo has opted for a micro-LED\u00a0display, which it claims is the first in the world to use resin diffraction waveguide technology (machine translated).<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/fileadmin\/Notebooks\/News\/_nc5\/Lenovo-Visual-AI-Glasses-V1-display.jpg\" title=\"The Lenovo Visual AI Glasses are the first to use resin diffraction waveguide technology. (Image source: Lenovo) <\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">However, while the Rokid Glasses have dual displays with a brightness level of 1,500 nits, the Lenovo Visual AI Glasses V1 has a single display with a brightness level of 2,000 nits. It is also said to have an option for users to switch between monocular and binocular modes and an eye-tracking viewing area of 15\u00a0\u00d7 11 mm for a stable experience when on the move.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The\u00a0Lenovo Visual AI Glasses V1 has several features, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/AirPods-Pro-3-bring-live-translations-but-not-for-all-iPhone-users.1112409.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">live translation<\/a> with conversation mode, a teleprompter mode, and AI navigation. It is powered by Lenovo&#8217;s proprietary AI. In addition, the glasses have touch controls and stereo speakers on the temples. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and have a 167mAh battery capacity that should provide between 8 to 10 hours of use in translation mode. At this price, the Lenovo Visual AI Glasses V1 are only slightly cheaper than the Rokid Glasses, which cost $599 but have a 12MP camera, a bigger 210mAh battery, and dual displays.
