Robbie Williams<\/a> has travelled back in time to perform on The Word\u00a0for his new \u2018Pretty Face\u2019 video.<\/p>\n

The pop icon and former Take That<\/a> singer has given us a blast from the past in his new video for \u2018Pretty Face\u2019, taken from his upcoming album \u2018BRITPOP\u2019. Though the album was set to drop in October, the record has now been pushed back to 2026.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the meantime, Williams has dropped the video for \u2018Pretty Face\u2019. In the video, he\u2019s recreated performing on stage at The Word, the classic variety show that ran from 1990 to 1995.<\/p>\n

Dressed in his iconic red tracksuit top and bleached hair<\/a> while attending Glastonbury<\/a> 1995, Williams\u2019 appropriately grainy footage sees a jumping crowd dancing along to his Britpop-inspired track.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the video, Williams said: \u201cThis is my \u201cDeLorean Moment\u201d back to 1995\u2026 The Word was the late-night gateway to so many \u2013 Nirvana<\/a>, Oasis<\/a>, Happy Mondays<\/a>\u2026 If \u2018BRITPOP\u2019 is the album I would have made, then THIS would have been the TV show\u2026. now a (virtual) reality\u201d. Recently,\u00a0Williams played his smallest-ever ticketed show in London.<\/a> On October 9, Williams not only performed his debut album in full, he also played \u2018BRITPOP\u2019 in its entirety.<\/p>\n

During the intimate show, Williams confessed that \u2018BRITPOP\u2019 had been pushed back to avoid clashing with Taylor Swift.<\/a> The pop juggernaut released her twelfth studio album \u2018The Life Of A Showgirl<\/a>\u2019 a week before the show (October 3).<\/p>\n

Speaking to those in attendance, Williams quipped:\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re all pretending it\u2019s not about Taylor Swift, but it fucking is. You can\u2019t compete with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued to say he avoided the clash as he wanted to achieve a record-breaking 16th Number One album; Williams is currently tied with The Beatles<\/a> for the most chart-topping records. \u201cI was worried about making you all fucking wait, and then I was like, \u2018Fuck it! I want a 16th Number One album!\u2019\u201d, he told the crowd.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, but I\u2019m fucking being selfish. How many times in your life do you get to have the most Number One albums the UK\u2019s ever fucking had?\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Williams has recently announced his \u2018Long 90\u2019s Tour\u2019 dates in February 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tour will see him perform at intimate venues in Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Wolverhampton, where he\u2019ll play his debut album, \u2018Life Thru A Lens\u2019, as well as \u2018BRITPOP\u2019, in full.<\/p>\n
