Kody Brown has been one of the faces of polygamy thanks to his show, \u201cSister Wives,\u201d but he\u2019s revealing it isn\u2019t an easy lifestyle.<\/p>\n
In a clip from tonight\u2019s episode of \u201cSpecial Forces\u201d on Fox, fellow recruit Andrew East asked Kody about the pros and cons of polygamy.<\/p>\n
Kody gets candid, replying, \u201cI had 18 kids with four wives. It has been three divorces and I would never do that again \u2014 I would never marry again.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 56-year-old was married to Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Christine Brown when \u201cSister Wives\u201d began in 2010, and he added fourth wife Robyn in 2014.<\/p>\n
However, the marriages didn\u2019t last. Christine and Kody split in 2021, followed by Janelle in 2022, and Meri in 2023.<\/p>\n
During his one-on-one interview, Kody revealed the impact of the divorces on his family.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere ended up being some bad blood with family over the divorces and in some cases with my children, communication has ceased.\u201d<\/p>\n
He later added, \u201cWhen you don\u2019t have a deep connection with your children, that is a disappointment. But there are probably certain things I won\u2019t own. I will own where I should.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kody was also asked about his decision to pursue polygamy, describing himself as a believer.<\/p>\n
\u201cI grew up in an entire culture that had it as a side note to their belief system. My dad had three wives,\u201d he told his fellow recruits.<\/p>\n
Kody isn\u2019t the only person from his plural marriage who isn\u2019t interested in doing polygamy again.<\/p>\n
