She explained in an interview that she created it by \u201cchanneling a character,\u201d taking on the role of someone going through heartbreak even though she\u2019s happily married<\/a>.<\/p>\n The pop diva explained<\/a> on the Just Trish Podcast, “‘Here All Night’ is about a breakup, but I didn’t write it about an actual breakup. I made it up. And that was a part of this album that was a little challenging for me was how do I write songs about breakups when I just got married? How do I write songs about this or that?”<\/p>\n She continued, “And it’s like sometimes I was like, you know what, let me just, with that song in particular, I was like, let me just like channel, you know, someone that just went through a breakup, and I don’t relate to it at all, but like I\u2019m going to almost play a character while writing that day.
