{"id":12505,"date":"2025-09-12T21:02:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T21:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/12505\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T21:02:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T21:02:09","slug":"nafdac-seizes-%e2%82%a61-2bn-worth-of-fake-drugs-in-lagos-channels-television","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/12505\/","title":{"rendered":"NAFDAC Seizes \u20a61.2bn Worth Of Fake Drugs In Lagos \u2022 Channels Television"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized fake Malaria drugs worth \u20a61.2bn in Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>NAFDAC in a statement on Friday said the drugs were intercepted in the Ilasa-Oshodi area of the South-West state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNAFDAC has intercepted 277 cartons of counterfeit and unregistered Malamal Forte malaria drugs, valued at over \u20a61.2 billion, in a warehouse located in the Ilasa-Oshodi area of Lagos State,\u201d the agency wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fake drugs, which were concealed in cartons labelled as Diclofenac Potassium 50mg, were illegally imported from Shanxi Tianyuan Pharmaceuticals Group in China.
