Ice Spice<\/a> says she\u2019s more than comfortable with a little \u201cfriendly competition\u201d with her fellow female rappers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While speaking with Nylon for the magazine\u2019s latest cover story, the 25-year-old rapper reflected on her rise<\/a> over the past three years and how looking back at old interviews sometimes makes her cringe.<\/p>\n

Nylon\u2019s Iva Dixit recalled one of Ice\u2019s interviews with Genius circa 2022, when she jokingly called herself a \u201ctwo-hit wonder\u201d in response to doubts about whether \u201cMuch (Feelin\u2019 U)\u201d would be her only hit.<\/p>\n

\u201cClearly, I was just feeling, like, \u2018Oh my God, I need to be better than my last time,\u2019 you know?\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, the pressure\u2019s great,\u201d she continued. \u201cI think the girls [in rap] also enjoy the friendly competition amongst each other. I feel like that\u2019s what keeps the spark.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her sense of competition doesn\u2019t extend to hostility, it seems. Despite years of rumored beef between them, Ice teamed up with Latto<\/a> to release \u201cGyatt\u201d<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n

At the red carpet for the 2025 Video Music Awards, Entertainment Tonight\u2019s Danny Directo asked her about the collaboration<\/a> and how they ended any speculation of their rivalry.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, you know? We\u2019re just girls, we\u2019re just such pretty girls,\u201d she replied.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Ice told Nylon she has an entirely different kind of relationship with Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing about Taylor is that she keeps it so real. Not even kidding, but one of the biggest things that I always think about that Taylor said is \u2018As long as you keep making music, everything\u2019s going to be fine,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cEvery time we hang out, she\u2019s not just giving me advice, you know what I mean? We\u2019re talking about the food we\u2019re eating or whatever\u2019s going on in the moment \u2026 whenever I\u2019m feeling doubtful or not as confident, having writer\u2019s block no matter what it is, things like that really, really stand out to me,\u201d she adds. \u201cShe said that to me a few years ago, and it still stood with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ice Spice also confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that fans can expect new music to drop this year. Last month, she teased a new single<\/a> titled \u201cBaddie Baddie\u201d with a snippet on her social media channels.<\/p>\n
