The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a medicine supply notification for the following products:<\/p>\n
Propranolol 80mg modified release capsules
\nPropranolol 160mg modified release capsules<\/p>\n
MSN\/2025\/059<\/p>\n
Tier 2 \u2013 medium impact<\/p>\n
Date of issue: 10\/11\/2025<\/p>\n
Propranolol 80mg modified release capsules are out of stock until early March 2026.
\nPropranolol 160mg modified release capsules are out of stock from late November 2025 until mid-late January 2026.
\nPropranolol 40mg and 80mg tablets (immediate release) remain available and can support an increase in demand.
\nPropranolol oral solution remains available but cannot support an increase in demand.<\/p>\n
A copy of this medicine supply notification, including\u00a0actions required\u00a0and\u00a0supporting information, has been sent to all pharmacy NHS email addresses.<\/p>\n
DHSC and NHSE\/I have now launched an online\u00a0Medicines Supply Tool<\/a>, which provides up to date information about medicine supply issues. The contents of these MSNs can now be viewed on the Tool.<\/p>\n The Tool also details any changes to resupply dates and updates to the entries.<\/p>\n To access the Tool, you will need an NHS email address. Once set up and logged in, you will be able to access it online.<\/p>\n
