Dharmendra’s name carries a warmth that goes far beyond cinema. Fans know him as the He-Man of Bollywood, the romantic hero of the golden era, and the gentle patriarch of a sprawling, close-knit family. While the public recognises Sunny, Bobby, Esha, and Ahana with ease, there is a quieter chapter of the Deol story that rarely gets told. At a time when the actor’s health has become a talking point and a storm of false news added unnecessary panic, many have been revisiting the lives of his extended family including the daughters who choose to remain away from flashbulbs and film chatter.

Vijeta Deol (born 1962) and Ajeeta Deol (born 1966) grew up as part of Dharmendra’s first family with Prakash Kaur. They share the same warm, grounded upbringing as Sunny and Bobby, yet their paths led them in a quieter direction. Unlike their star siblings, the two opted for privacy over popularity, building their identities far from film sets.

Ajeeta lives in California, where she has embraced a multi-faceted career. Those who know her say she wears many hats, psychologist, academic, teacher, and even dentist. She leads a peaceful life with her family and is a mother to two daughters, Nikita and Priyanka, both of whom work in dentistry.

Vijeta’s World of Business and Family

Closer home, Vijeta has built her life in New Delhi. She is a businesswoman who serves as the director of Rajkamal Holdings and Trading Private Limited. Married to businessman Vivek Gill, she is a mother to Prerna, a writer-editor, and Sahil. Though she has always kept a low profile, her name carries emotional value within the Deol household, Dharmendra’s iconic production banner, Vijeta Films, was named after her. The company has backed memorable films such as Betaab, Ghayal, Barsaat, and Indian.

Amid Health Concerns and Rumours, a Family Stands Steady

The recent health scare around Dharmendra led fans to seek every possible update. Unfortunately, a wave of misinformation spread online, falsely claiming he had passed away. The Deol family quickly stepped in to clarify that the veteran star was recovering, urging everyone to avoid panic and respect their privacy. The moment also reminded many of how protective the clan is of each other, including the children who stay out of the public gaze.
