{"id":128601,"date":"2025-11-12T02:58:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T02:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/128601\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T02:58:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T02:58:08","slug":"adhd-medication-recalled-nationwide-because-users-arent-getting-the-full-effect-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/128601\/","title":{"rendered":"ADHD medication recalled nationwide because users aren\u2019t getting the full effect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">(Gray News) \u2013 A popular ADHD medication is being recalled nationwide because its users won\u2019t be able to get the full effect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Product=216857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Product=216857\">According to the Food and Drug Administration<\/a>, several lots of lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules, a generic form of Vyvanse, are being recalled.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The recall was announced Oct. 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pharmacy.ca.gov\/about\/recall_alerts\/103125_sun.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.pharmacy.ca.gov\/about\/recall_alerts\/103125_sun.pdf\">The Board of Pharmacy<\/a> said the medication failed dissolution tests, writing, \u201cDissolution is important for drugs to be absorbed and have a physiological effect on the human body; they must be in solution. The impacted capsules would not be able to deliver an optimal level of medicine and may impact the therapeutic efficacy of the product.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">However, officials say taking the recalled medication would not put patients at any safety or health risks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The recall affects several dosage levels of the medication, including 10mg, 20mg, 30mg, 40mg, 50mg, 60mg and 70mg pills.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For a list of exact bottles and lot codes affected by the recall, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pharmacy.ca.gov\/about\/recall_alerts\/103125_sun.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.pharmacy.ca.gov\/about\/recall_alerts\/103125_sun.pdf\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. shipped the recalled medication between May 1, 2024, and Nov. 13, 2024. The medication does not expire until 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Patients who have this medication are urged to contact their doctor or pharmacy for replacements or refunds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 Gray Local Media, Inc.
