Since then, some artists have started to warm up to the idea of AI. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, Meta <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2024\/sep\/25\/meta-connect-orion-glasses\" target=\"_blank\">announced that its Meta AI <\/a>would offer voice assistants that sound like actresses Kristen Bell and Judi Dench. With McConaughey, an investor in ElevenLabs, the company will translate his newsletter into Spanish audio with the use of his AI voice. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ElevenLabs also announced this week that it was launching a marketplace to let brands use authorized AI-generated voices of celebrities, which will include Caine and other names like Liza Minelli and Dr. Maya Angelou. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ElevenLabs\u00a0is one of the more popular AI unicorn companies and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/01\/30\/elevenlabs-raises-180-million-in-series-c-funding-at-3-3-billion-valuation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">has backers<\/a>\u00a0including a16z and ICONIQ.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ElevenLabs\u00a0struck a deal with actors Michael Caine and Matthew\u00a0McConaughey\u00a0to AI-generate their voices,\u00a0the company announced this week.
