She also pointed to one of Charlie\u2019s life-guiding scriptures. \u201cOne of Charlie\u2019s favorite Bible verses was Ephesians 5:25: \u2018Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Erika said that verse was more than words for her husband, but a reflection of his life and sacrifice. \u201cMy husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children. He showed the ultimate and true covenantal love.\u201d<\/p>\n
Even in mourning, Erika emphasized her faith. \u201cOur world is filled with evil. But our God is so good. So incredibly good.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe refused to take her husband’s death in stride. \u201cThe cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry. To everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my husband built will not die. It won\u2019t. I refuse to let that happen. It will become stronger. Bolder. Louder and greater than ever,” she said.<\/p>\n
She announced that TPUSA\u2019s campus tours and AmericaFest will continue, and grow. \u201cThere will be even more tours in the years to come,\u201d she said. \u201cThe radio and podcast show he was so proud of will go on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Erika admitted she hadn’t slept since her late husband’s death and is still showing up as a present mother to her two small children despite the circumstances. \u201cWhen I got home last night, Gigi, our daughter, ran into my arms\u2026 She asked, \u2018Where\u2019s daddy?\u2019 I told her, \u2018He\u2019s on a work trip with Jesus for your blueberry budget.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
She promised, \u201cI\u2019ll make Turning Point USA the biggest thing this nation has ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n
