This past Saturday, Kris Jenner<\/a> celebrated her 70th birthday<\/a> with a James Bond\u2013themed party at Jeff Bezos and Lauren S\u00e1nchez\u2019s<\/a> Beverly Hills mansion. The event was packed to the brim with A-listers, including all of the Kardashian-Jenner children, Beyonc\u00e9, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg, and the Biebers. Despite all the possibility for really good gossip, the biggest drama to emerge from the night\u00a0is a petty saga about Meghan Markle<\/a> and Prince Harry\u2019s<\/a> inclusion in an Instagram photo dump. The Brits are offended, Meghan and Harry want a low profile, and Kim Kardashian<\/a> is reportedly \u201cpissed off.\u201d All this over an Instagram post? Well, yes and no. Let\u2019s start at the beginning.<\/p>\n Kris\u2019s party took place on November 8, the same evening as the annual star-studded Baby2Baby charity gala. Harry and Meghan went to the gala first, where they posed for photos with Serena Williams and helped raise money for mothers and children in need. Then, they made their way to Beverly Hills to celebrate Kris. Paparazzi were stationed outside and got some photos of the couple holding hands on their way into the party.<\/p>\n After the weekend, British tabloids started getting riled up about the Sussexes\u2019 big night out, specifically because it fell on the same weekend as Remembrance Sunday, the U.K.\u2019s day of celebrating the country\u2019s veterans. The Daily Mail<\/a> noted that it was a \u201csolemn weekend\u201d in the U.K. compared to Harry and Meghan\u2019s \u201cjam-packed weekend of glitz and glamour.\u201d The tabloid also pointed out that while Harry wore a poppy on his lapel, the classic accessory of Remembrance Sunday, Meghan \u201cnotably failed\u201d to pin one to her gown.<\/p>\n A source who allegedly works with the royal family called Meghan and Harry\u2019s outing \u201ctacky\u201d in \u201cPage Six.\u201d<\/a> \u201cIt truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,\u201d the source told the outlet. (Queen Camilla did just wear a brooch made of 206 diamonds and three emeralds<\/a> to a Remembrance Day ceremony, but sure.)<\/p>\n Then Kris and Kim posted to Instagram.<\/p>\n These posts originally contained photos of Meghan and Harry having what appeared to be a really good time. In the pics, which still exist on \u201cPage Six,\u201d<\/a> the couple posed and danced with Kris and Meghan got a solo snap with Kim. Pretty inoffensive images, if you ask me. However, on Tuesday, Kim and Kris removed the photos of Harry and Meghan from their respective carousels.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, a source claimed in \u201cPage Six\u201d that a representative for Harry and Meghan had asked for the photos to be taken down. \u201cThey don\u2019t want to piss off the royal family while they are trying to reconcile<\/a>,\u201d the source said. Seems like it was too late for that, seeing as everybody already knew they were at the party and saw all the pictures, but maybe that\u2019s why I don\u2019t work in PR. Later that day, People<\/a> reported that the couple had checked \u201cno\u201d on a photo-consent form, and that was the reason their photos had been removed. However, the next day (today, if you\u2019re keeping track), a new source told People<\/a>: \u201cThere were no consent forms.\u201d A twist!<\/p>\n
