Kanye \u2018Ye\u2019 West is heading to S\u00e3o Paulo at the end of this month, where he could face immediate arrest.<\/p>\n
According to Metropoles<\/a>, the S\u00e3o Paulo State Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office has reportedly ordered that the American rapper be arrested if he makes any pro-Nazi remarks, \u201cmakes any kind of apology for Nazism\u201d while on stage, or performs his controversial song \u2018Heil Hitler\u2019<\/a> during the show, which is scheduled to take place on 29 November. <\/p>\n \u201cNo one who promotes Nazism will play or sing any words on public equipment belonging to the City Hall,\u201d said S\u00e3o Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes. \u201cWe will do everything necessary to ensure that no one who promotes Nazism has any kind of activity here in the city of S\u00e3o Paulo.\u201d <\/p>\n The promoters for Ye\u2019s show, Guilherme Cavalcante and Jean Fabr\u00edcio Ramos, are also reportedly facing arrest if Ye steps out of line. <\/p>\n That\u2019s if the concert goes ahead, as a venue has yet to be booked. <\/p>\n The show originally was scheduled to take place at Interlagos racetrack and that venue has already been pulled because of Ye\u2019s long and documented antisemitic remarks. <\/p>\n Ye has previously been banned from X and Instagram over hate speech. He has previously identified as a Nazi<\/a> and his antisemitic comments<\/a> have been numerous over the years. <\/p>\n This year alone, he made a shocking string of antisemitic posts<\/a>, which included comments like \u201cI love Hitler\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m a Nazi.\u201d He also came under fire for selling a white t-shirt with a large swastika emblem on the chest \u2013 an item listed as \u201cHH-01\u201d on his website, a reference to the \u201cHeil Hitler\u201d chant. <\/p>\n Following the posting of a KKK photo<\/a>, the rapper was dropped by his talent agency<\/a> and subsequently blocked from entering Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ye has been trying to put all that behind him of late – when he’s not rescinding his apologies to the Jewish community<\/a>.<\/p>\n He recently met with a prominent New York rabbi named Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, in order to \u201ctake accountability\u201d for the hurt he has caused. <\/p>\n He expressed remorse and said that his bipolar disorder \u2013 a diagnosis he has previously refuted<\/a> – caused him to lash out at the Jewish community. <\/p>\n \u201cI was dealing with some various issues of bipolar, so it would take the ideas I had and have me take them to an extreme where I would forget about the protection of the people around me or myself,\u201d said Ye. <\/p>\n The rabbi, through a translator, called Ye a \u201cvery good man\u201d before sharing a statement online reading: \u201cA person is not defined by his mistakes, but by the way he chooses to correct them. This is the true strength of man: The ability to return, to learn, and to build bridges of love and peace.\u201d <\/p>\n The Independent<\/a> highlighted that Pinto is a prominent figure among celebrities in Israel and has ties to Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a>.
