What Happened: So, Fitbit is starting to use its Pixel Watch 3<\/a> for some really serious health research, and they\u2019re inviting users to help. <\/p>\n

They\u2019ve just launched two new \u201clabs\u201d<\/a> to see what these gadgets are truly capable of.<\/p>\n

The first one is a Hypertension Lab. They\u2019re trying to figure out if your watch can spot the early warning signs of high blood pressure<\/a> just by tracking your heart rate and other biometrics. <\/p>\n

They\u2019re actually looking for 10,000 people in the U.S. to join a study where they just\u2026 wear their Pixel Watch 3 for six months.<\/p>\n

To make sure the watch\u2019s data is accurate, they\u2019re even sending some of those people a real, 24-hour blood pressure cuff to wear. <\/p>\n

Once you send the cuff back, they\u2019ll send you a $25 gift card for your trouble.<\/p>\n

The second one is called the Unusual Trend Detection Lab. This one is pretty cool \u2013 it\u2019s designed to be a little alarm bell. It learns your body\u2019s normal patterns, and if your health stats suddenly go sideways, it\u2019ll give you a heads-up. <\/p>\n

You can then log how you\u2019re feeling or what you think caused it, and it\u2019ll even offer tips on how to get back on track.<\/p>\n
