The longtime media personality, who has been battling the case for more than three months, described the moment as a weight finally lifted, and thanked ACLU of Nevada for stepping in and agreeing to represent him.<\/p>\n

“I am certain with every fiber of my being that if the ACLU of Nevada had not agreed to represent me and had they not called her lawyers yesterday to inform them of that, Blake would ABSOLUTELY still be pursuing the subpoena!” he told The Blast. “They withdrew today, after yesterday\u2019s call.”<\/p>\n

This latest development comes after The Blast previously reported on Perez Hilton warning that Blake Lively\u2019s attempt to subpoena him could drag on for years<\/a>. Speaking outside a Nevada courthouse, the blogger cautioned that the case might stretch into 2026 if Lively refused to back down. With the subpoena now withdrawn, Perez says the pressure has lifted.<\/p>\n

“I am so relieved,” he told The Blast. “I\u2019ve been dealing with this now for three months and it\u2019s over. Done. The timing is not lost on me though. I would most likely still be fighting this without the help of the ACLU of Nevada. I am so immensely grateful to everyone who has helped me get to this point, including the ACLU of Nevada. Dawn Thoman, who put me in touch with them. Lindsay Feldman and her team at Brand Bomb PR for helping me get the word out, and ChatGPT.”<\/p>\n

Perez explained that before the ACLU of Nevada came on board to represent him this week, he “had done all my filings with ChatGPT.”<\/p>\n

Hilton also admitted the drawn-out battle with Lively took a heavy toll on every aspect of his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I also have to pat myself on the back for fighting the good fight, for not caving in, for not giving up,\u201d Perez shared with The Blast. \u201cIt really took a toll on me. My mental, emotional, and physical health all greatly suffered. My work suffered. This took me away from my job. I spent hundreds of hours fighting this. I had to go show up in court twice against her team of attorneys by myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The celebrity blogger credited attorney Dawn Thoman for connecting him with the ACLU of Nevada, who quickly agreed to represent him and shifted the entire case. \u201cI met with them on Monday. On Wednesday, they sent me over a retainer agreement. On Thursday, we went over that retainer agreement and some other questions they had. I signed it on Thursday. And immediately afterwards, the ACLU of Nevada called Blake Lively\u2019s lawyers to let them know that they were representing me.”<\/p>\n

He added, “And then today, the very next day, Blake Lively withdraws her subpoena. It\u2019s not because of any reason other than the ACLU of Nevada is representing me, and Blake Lively did not want to go up against them.\u201d<\/p>\n
